    The Watershed Hydrology Research Lab at UW Madison studies how rainfall becomes runoff, the pathways water takes through landscapes, and the ecological and biogeochemical implications of these pathways.

    We are interested in how the structure of the critical zone influences hydrologic flowpaths, and how these flowpaths influence the structure of the critical zone.

    We combine field and quantitative analyses to explore critical zone development, rainfall-runoff relationships, and ecological/biogeochemical implications across a broad range of spatial and temporal scales.
